This can be used for wood chip bio-fuel, weed suppression or soil enhancement. Also available are forestry mulchers which can fell trees up to 50cm in diameter and smash it up into small pieces to break down in the soil.

Capable of breaking down windblown stumps and excavated roots it is an efficient way to clear scrub and light woodland, waste from forestry operations or just creating new planting sites, fire breaks and new tracks.
No burn development sites also benefit from whole tree chipping and mulching because large areas can be cleared quickly and cleanly. The smaller vegetation is mulched up finely, and scraped up with the top soil where it mixes in and rots down. When the top soil is reused, it is much richer in nutrients.
It is also cheaper and more environmentally friendly than putting green waste into valuable landfill space.
